Worker's Comp Provider Enrollment Specialist

JOB SUMMARY:

The Worker's Comp Provider Enrollment Specialist facilitates and assists providers in becoming enrolled in Ohio Worker's Compensation so they can treat injured workers, in order to facilitate a safe and timely return to work.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reports directly to the Billing Team Leader or Operations Manager
• Process incoming enrollment requests relating to provider issues within a timely manner
• Process all necessary adjustments received from the 835 (Electronic Data Interchange) for payment
• Maintain communication between the billing department and other areas of the Managed Care Organization to resolve Provider enrollment issues
• Provide excellent customer service for calls relating to providers' enrollment with the Bureau of Workers' Compensation.
• Assist with other departments as needed to facilitate the Managed Care Organization's workflow
• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge and skills at a level normally acquired through the completion of a High School education or comparable work experience
• Preferred but not required, working knowledge of Bureau of Workers Compensation policies and procedures as they relate to Provider
• Preferred but not required, working knowledge of ICD and CPT codes as they relate to Workers Compensation Injuries
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience with various computer programs and data entry skills.
