Summary:
The Unemployment Account Manager is the primary contact for Sheakley's Unemployment client base acting as a liaison between Sheakley clients and state workforce agencies. The Account Manager is responsible for gathering separation information to timely and effectively respond to unemployment claims by the deadlines assigned by all state workforce agencies, review all cost saving opportunities associated with tax rates, and administers on-site client visits while implementing strategic action plans to improve employer's UI program.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Respond to state workforce agencies within given period with all pertinent and required separation information.
- Interact with employers regarding claims to gather separation information via, telephone, fax or email.
- Work within established software systems to document all pertinent information related to the claim and ensure all correspondence is received by state workforce agencies.
- Ensures that work is accurate, complete, and processed in a timely manner.
- Performs any additional functions required by management, needed to meet the goals of the department.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience
- Experience in unemployment claims administration and knowledge of unemployment legislation.
- Experience in organization of work requirements, performing job functions independently and ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to work within a team setting.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle a high volume of work.
- Three weeks of immediate, required and uninterrupted training upon hire.
Skills, Specialized Knowledge and Abilities
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment without direct supervision and able to demonstrate considerable initiative.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to type 35 WPM.
- Excellent customer service and telephone skills.
- Ability to lift, file, reach and carry up to 25 pounds.
Goals:
The person hired is expected to work within the team environment to expand Sheakley's unemployment department by:
- Growing Sheakley's book of business.
- Increasing our claims administration expertise to a national level.
- Offering insight to our current client base regarding other services available within the Sheakley Group of Companies.
- Familiarizing their self with other tax saving opportunities to enhance Sheakley's UI services.
