Job Summary

 

Are you a people person? Do you enjoy meeting new people? Are you outgoing and bubbly? Are you detail oriented? If so, then this is the perfect opportunity for you! Sheakley, a Human Resources Outsourcing provider, is hiring a receptionist for our Nashville, TN office! The main responsibility of the Receptionist position is to provide superior customer service to our large client base. As well as assisting clients, in a call queue environment, directing questions regarding their payroll and our payroll/time and labor management platforms to the correct person.

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Professional appearance is required.  Excellent interpersonal skills required.  Must be able to handle multiple phone lines in a professional and courteous manner while displaying patience and compassion.  Exceptional communication skills are required (written and verbal).  Must be dependable and able to work alone.  Intermediate experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.  Clerical items for the Director of Operations.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • A minimum of 2 years Customer Service experience and/or 2 years of Receptionist/Administrative Assistant experience.

Requirements

  • Answers phones in a professional manner and directs calls to appropriate person and/or takes messages for same.
  • Stays knowledgeable concerning procedures for handling certain types of phone calls and requests. 
  • Ensures that staff providing relief for reception are kept up to date on rules and procedures concerning phone calls and receiving guests, etc.
  • Receives visitors in a polite and courteous manner and notifies appropriate person or department.  Customer service is of the utmost importance.
  • Back up for Mailroom  (Federal Express, office supplies, mail etc.) when the Resource or Mailroom Personnel is unavailable and on heavy processing days
  • Maintains clean and orderly workspace in the reception/lobby area
  • Assists distribution as needed.
  • Assists other departments as needed.
  • Oversees client sign out sheet, conference room reservations, 
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Organization, attention to detail, flexibility and strong ability to multi-task

  • General computer/proficient keying skills
