Job Summary:

Sheakley is currently looking for a Corporate Controller. The Corporate Controller is responsible for overseeing financial statements like balance sheets, invoices, A/P and A/R. This position handles both corporate and divisional controller responsibilities.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Consolidation/reconciliation - annual financials and quarterly debt compliance
  • Corporate Taxes (Federal & State) including but not limited to K-1 reconciliations, CAT tax filing, and other state income tax filings
  • Audit/Review coordination
  • Payroll tax management
  • Treasury Management - Pinnacle administrator
  • Manage weekly cash report process
  • Preparation of monthly financial statements and annual budgets
  • Management of banking relationships
  • Supervision of staff - Staff accountant and AP Coordinator
  • Backup for Staff accountant

Education and Experience:

  • Knowledge and skills at a level normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • CPA preferred with public accounting experience

Skills, Specialized Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Strong accounting technical skills related to consolidations, audits, corporate taxes, and treasury management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Payroll tax experience (W-2 review and W-2 inclusions)
  • Experience using accounting ERP systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Organization, attention to detail, flexibility and strong ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work without direct supervision and demonstrate considerable initiative
