Business Analyst

As a Business Analyst for Sheakley UniService Inc., you will play an integral role in the requirements gathering, testing, and documentation of our software systems. A person in this position can expect to offer valuable insight, suggestions, and implement technology solutions for various business needs. The business units supported include Workers' Compensation, Unemployment, Accounting, and Absence Management.

Responsibilities will include requirements gathering, specification write-up, system documentation, and interaction with managers and end users.

Job Description - Requirements:

• Acts as a liaison between the business leaders and development teams
• Research, propose, and implement solutions to technology shortfalls
• Produce written requirements and test cases for system defects
• Testing of programming requests prior to user acceptance testing
• Work with Operations Managers to identify and manage priorities
• Ensures product meets the client requirements prior to release
• Ability to review programming request, clarify any items needed, implement and test changes
• Build subject matter expertise in various business areas
• Experience with the full SDLC
• Developing reports using SSRS
• Documentation of multiple software systems
• Familiarity with SQL server and writing queries
• Keeping up with the latest technology trends both internal and external to the business
• Work 40 hours a week and occasional weekends or evenings as needed to meet the business needs and deadlines
• Work on additional tasks as needed

Education and Experience

• Minimum 3 years working experience as a Business Analyst or Software Developer
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field
• Foundational understanding of vb.net, c#.net, web applications and mobile apps a plus
